Today is going to be another wonderful day
Wishing everybody a happy and successful day! May we all be closer to reaching our goals at the end than at the start with many smiles shared along the way.
Wishing everybody a positive and happy day
May your day be full of smiles and compliments 🙂
The Only Way Is Up
The Only Way Is Up was a late 1980s hit song for Yazz and the Plastic Population. The song is a fun, uplifting dance track and its title is a fantastic positive mantra to have.
Give happy, live happy :-)
I had a very happy start to one day this week when I was handed the above smile on a stick. The back of the smile was the mantra give happy, live happy and its purpose was to celebrate national volunteer week.
Giving your time to a charity or a cause not only helps others but is a great source of happiness and smiles for the giver 🙂
Enthusiasm and joy
Show your good side
Yesterday, I caught a bus and then a train to and from a wonderful community event. On the train there was a poster displaying a poem promoting good behaviour while using public transport. A line of the poem I really liked was “show your good side”.
Show your good side: be positive; respect and be considerate of other people.
I believe showing our good side should be our intention everywhere, including on public transport 🙂
Taking a ride in a banana bus
I’m currently sitting in a articulated bus (a bus with a bend in the middle) and this reminded me of one of my childhood’s simple pleasures: taking a ride on a ‘banana bus’ 🙂
Turning clouds into silver lining – changing potential negatives into positives
Last night I experienced a liberating, fun and challenging class of air yoga. Air yoga is form of yoga using hammocks suspended from the ceiling.
My plan after class was to catch the train back into the city. As I walked to the train station I saw the train arrive and ran to meet it. Unfortunately, it departed just as I arrived to the platform and the next train wasn’t for another thirty minutes.
Instead of cursing and burdening my mind with negative thoughts about the situation, I took it as an opportunity to eat dinner at the nearby cafe strip. I enjoyed my fish and chips and was happy and back at the station ready for the next train 🙂
