Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
If you want an interesting and meaningful life, challenge yourself! I strongly agree with this Joshua J. Marine quote. Looking forward to my next challenge…

I have just read an excellent book which shifted my success paradigm: The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea. The book, by Bob Burg and John David Mann, focuses on the importance of giving. The Go-Giver is a concise book but the words it contains are powerful and I highly recommend it.
Back in February I met a friend for a cup of tea. During our conversation I introduced her to the 4 Hour Work Week, the concept of simplifying life and automating and outsourcing work in order to maximise the time spent living one’s dreams. I suggested to my friend that she buy the 4 Hour Work Week book by Tim Ferriss.
My friend loved the concepts in the book, including, hiring a virtual assistant.
Today I met my friend again to find out, only four months later, that she has quit her job and is now successfully living the 4 hour work week!
What an inspiration!
I have read many people’s inspirational accounts of their interactions with the late Robin Williams. From insisting venues employ homeless people to silently supporting charities to mixing with fans, every account was full of praise. He was a truly wonderful and generous man.
Tonight at my public speaking club I am to give an inspirational speech. I am excited about the speech and I look forward to inspiring the audience. Following is Steve Jobs’ very inspiring commencement speech at Stanford University:
New wave song Walking On Sunshine from English band Katrina & The Waves was a big hit in the 1980s. The song is uplifting and inspiring with the title lyrics referencing a state of great joy and excitement.
I’m walking on sunshine, whoa
And don’t it feel good
This quote of unknown origin, often incorrectly attributed to Mahatma Gandhi, is a fantastic mantra to live by.
If you want to see a more positive and happy world, be more positive and happy. If you want to see a healthier world, be healthier.
Setting an example is one of the best ways, if not the best way, to influence others.
I’m currently watching a television program on Rome. The ancient city’s buildings and infrastructure and the technologies, engineering, organisation and architecture behind them are amazing.
When I heard this uplifting, inspiring and motivating Irene Cara song on the radio last night I knew I had to blog it today.
My favourite lyrics from the song are:
Take your passion
And make it happen
