The Only Way Is Up was a late 1980s hit song for Yazz and the Plastic Population. The song is a fun, uplifting dance track and its title is a fantastic positive mantra to have.
Anything is possible
Anything is possible. if I really want to do something:
– I will make it a goal
– I will learn how to do it using my creativity
– I will make sacrifices to enable it to happen
– I will focus on the goal until I have succeeded
Anything IS possible!
Show your good side
Yesterday, I caught a bus and then a train to and from a wonderful community event. On the train there was a poster displaying a poem promoting good behaviour while using public transport. A line of the poem I really liked was “show your good side”.
Show your good side: be positive; respect and be considerate of other people.
I believe showing our good side should be our intention everywhere, including on public transport π
Happiness is a choice
Happiness is a choice. No matter what situation we are in or circumstances we face, we can choose to be happy. Happiness is a state of mind that is in our control.
If I don’t appear to be happy, please remind me that happiness is a choice π
I have the freedom to choose
It’s wonderful and to know that, no matter the situation I am in, I have the freedom to choose my response.
If something potentially bad happens, I can choose to be positive and not react negatively.
The freedom to choose is also very important as happiness is based not on one’s circumstances but on how you react to those circumstances.

A personal mantra to boost self esteem
I am positive, I am grateful and I love myself
The above mantra said repeatedly to oneself helps boosts self esteem and self-love.
